Not taking into account the fact that future picks have a decreased value becuase they are prorated. But yes, both were good trades.

Holy smokes, a 4th round pick for Darrell Jackson? Steal of the Draft imo.

How good are Jackson's knees? Does anyone know if he could still play at his full potential?

49ers | Working on deal to acquire Jackson from Seattle
Fri, 27 Apr 2007 21:27:01 -0700
Michael Smith, of ESPN.com, reports the San Francisco 49ers are working on a trade with the Seattle Seahawks to acquire WR Darrell Jackson in exchange for one of the 49ers' fourth-round draft choices, believed to be the team's third selection (No. 124 overall) in the round. The deal is contingent on Jackson passing a physical Saturday, April 28.

Yeah, but only in the case of the 9ers is a physical scheduled. If he passes, it's as good as done, I'd say.

As long as Jackson stays healthy it is a very good deal for the 49ers. Jackson may have issues with injuries and drops but he still is a number 1 receiver and anytime you can pick up a number one receiver for a 4th round draft pick its not a bad idea.
Not bad for Seattle since they get rid of his contract for the future which will help in the future when the heavy free agent contracts start to squeeze then against the cap. Best to get something now rather then nothing later, since they already have Branch to fill the number 1 next year.

Best thing the niners did on Day 2. DJax should be our #1 guy we have been missing. Jason Hill should be our #2 and Lelie/Battle #3.

LOL at putting a 3rd round rookie WR ahead of Battle and Lelie.

Getting 10 tds and close to 1,000 yards (he missed like 3 games) for a 4th rounder. Health issues aside, how is this a good deal for the Hawks again? Loosing your top reciever for a late 4th isnt a good move anyway you put it.

Lelie flat out sucks and although I like Battle, I think Hill has more potential. It will end up Being #1-DJax, #2-Battle, #3-Hill/Lelie

Good move, the 49ers got the better end of the deal. We have seen what DJ can do he is a very good explosive reciever and can get the job done.

From what I've read, it sounds like Hill and Lelie will be competing for the X position with D-Jack and Battle competing for the Z position. My bet is D-Jack and Lelie start the season, but Hill takes over the X midway through the year. Like I said on the 49ers board, this would allow Battle to play to his strengths as a slot receiver and return man. Very nice trade IMO. After drafting Willis, this is the best thing the Niners did in the draft-- the cost for a top 20 WR was just absurdly low here.
