I'd rather land a safety in the draft than a corner. There's a better chance of finding an impact corner in free agency than there is a safety. Thompson is terrible, we have to find someone better.

We also have a great shot at getting an impact FA this offseason since we have plenty of cap room. I hope we go for someone like Asante Samuel.

nice first round pick, i don't know if we will have a shot at McCauley at this time, but i hope we pick up a Nice young FA CB, Samuel would be nice, but i don't know if he is going to be leaving the pats anytime soon :( , also a pass rushing DE is a need, i also like the third round pick, we need a future Center.

I think this was posted on here back in May from the Bills message board, but i could be wrong

Tennessee Two-Step
The 2006 season will represent step one of a two step process that will propel the Tennessee Titans to the basement of the NFL. Step One will involve the firing of Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow, while Step Two will see them wallowing away in frustration and controversy over new quarterback Vince Young until GM Floyd Reese is finally fired along with the next coaching staff.
The 2006 season figures to be no picnic for Titans fans. It will start off on the wrong foot when the Titans release or trade veteran Steve McNair, who is newcomer Vince Young's friend and mentor. This will give Vince mixed feelings about the front office.
Vince Young is also aware that the current coaching regime, including both Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow, wanted nothing to do with Vince Young. He has likely heard by now that Fisher and Chow lost a waged battle with general manager Floyd Reese that saw the Titans selecting Young over the coaches' choice, Matt Leinart.
Acrimony between Young and the front office will develop in contract negotiations as Vince demands to be paid more than the number one overall selection in the draft, Mario Williams. Prior to being drafted, the Vince Young camp, led by laughable agent Major Adams, indicated that Vince could demand to be paid more than any other draft pick regardless of draft position. Being selected number three overall (where many predicted a slide), along with a perceived weakness in the value of number one overall pick Mario Williams, and leverage deriving from Steve McNair's de

LenDale is out for the game tomorrow with his hip flexor. He's been playing through it recently, but it looked like he reaggravated it on his long run vs. the Colts. So Chris Brown will be active as the #2 RB. I'm actually kind of interested to see how he does. I'm not a fan of his game, but I respect how he's handled himself the whole times he's been inactive, he's never complained at all and by most accounts has worked hard and remained upbeat. I think he's earned a shot to see what he can do.
Olsen is out too. Big bad Eugene will be starting in his place :P

Hello ... Long time no see.
Well, I've been reading some of the posts about next season and who we want to target in FA and the draft.
Personally, I prefer Dwayne Jarrett to Ted Ginn. I'd like a big, reliable receiver who can go up and fight for the ball as opposed to Ginn who is simply a speedster. VY is not the most accurate of QBs; we all know that. Why not reward him with a guy that can make spectacular catches, especially in the clutch?
Another thing ... Asante Samuel is a cornerback, not a safety -- at least when I've seen him play. He's also listed as a corner on the Patriot's depth chart on their home page. Maybe I'm missing something ... Anyway, he's probably #1 on my wish list. If not Samuel, then probably Nate Clements. I figure we can draft a WR, DE, or FS in the first round of the draft, but I'd rather get a veteran corner to go with Pac.
As for the DEs, I think I'd rather have a run stuffer like Justin Smith as opposed to Dwight Freeney. I mean, I'd rather have Freeney if they were the same price, but you know Smith will be a lot cheaper and won't be a liability to the run. Furthermore, if we shore up our defense as a whole, we can start blitzing again ... what a concept! We won't need Dwight Freeney if we have Cortland Finnegan and Chris Hope in the QB's face.
This is my uninformed fan's wishlist, ala MicktheGreat:
Draft:
Round 1: Dwayne Jarrett
Round 2: best safety available (Landry, dude from UF, etc.)
Round 3: best OL available (I don't care what position; give me another Jacob Bell)
Free Agency:
Asante Samuel -- Corner
Justin Smith -- Defensive End
Adalius Thomas -- Middle Linebacker (he'd be a monster!)
Projected defensive starters:
KVB, Haynesworth, Robaire, Justin Smith -- Line
Thornton, Adalius Thomas, Bulluck -- LBs
Pacman, Hope, 2nd rounder, Asante Samuel -- Secondary
Projected offensive starters:
Roos, Bell, Mawae, Olson, Stewart -- Line
Givens, Jarrett -- WR
Troupe, Scaife -- TE
Henry, LenDale, Hall -- backfield
VY -- QB
***Note*** Safeties always slip in the draft. Look at Darnell Bing last year. We almost got him in what? The fourth? I'll bet we could get a nice safety in the second round. Plus, it's an easy position to play as a rookie. Heck, even Tank Williams played well his rookie season, not to mention Polamalu, Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, and any other rookie safety who gets a chance to play. But who knows? Maybe Calvin Lowry plays to the level where we don't need a safety. Either way, Lamont's time has come and gone. It's time to move in a new direction.
Well, it was fun posting again. Maybe I'll hit up the boards in early April! See ya ...

I would be happy with DJ or Ginn, IMO we need a pass rusher at DE not a run stuffer, we haven't been able to get any pressure this year, i agree with a FA CB, i don't think Landry or Nelson will be there in the second round, Right i think we should leave Tulloch as are starter at MLB.

like I said earlier we will probably pick up Asante Samuel, Charles Grant, and Ken Hamlin. That will allow us to draft Ginn in the first and the best DE in the 2nd.

Looks like you boys got a stud at QB for years to come. Young has really shocked the NFL world by his play and alot of people didn't expect for him to do this, including me. Congrats.

Wow, oh, wow. I'm a believer, people. I didn't like his chances at the pro level but VY has proved me wrong time and time again. Glad I have my VY jersey. :)

That pic wasn't on the TD run was it, though?
