A blog entry from the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt:
Adding Rice would give Titans good one-two punch
by Jim Wyatt
By JIM WYATT
Staff Writer
Earlier this week, the Titans upgraded at receiver by adding veteran Eric Moulds.
Now the team has its sights set on former Buccaneers defensive end Simeon Rice.
The signing of Moulds was a good move. He’s a veteran and he’ll add a presence the team needed, as the Titans are loaded with young receivers. But one has to wonder about him, especially since he remained unsigned for so long.
The addition of Rice would be much bigger. He could dramatically change the look of the defensive line, if not the defense.
Rice, released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, has 121 career sacks. Put him on the opposite side of Kyle Vanden Bosch and suddenly the Titans would have a pretty good one-two punch.
He’d also take pressure off the secondary.
Rice won’t come cheap, but he’d be worth it.

According to the Tennessean, Tulloch was working with the 1st team at MLB today. So it looks like he and Fowler are gonna alternate reps until one takes charge and wins the job.
Also said it appears that Scaife is ahead of Troupe right now, though it didn't seen very definitive.

I think that looks pretty good. Hard to tell who will win the job at MLB. I say it should go to whoever shows they can play the run the best.
One thing to note if we don't end up adding Rice is that KVB has been lining up at RDE and Odom at LDE, so that's a small flip flop.
Tough to gauge the WRs also. Roby and Roydell seem to be getting a ton of buzz right now, and are both running with the 1st team. Roydell was getting the early hype, now it seems that Roby is getting alot of it. Vince was even singin his praises in his latest interview. We'll see how it pans out. I do think Moulds will end up sticking on the roster also, but I'm not expecting much out of him.

By the way, I do think the Roydell and Roby hype is legit...for now. I've read several accounts from people who have attended the practices and all have said that Roby and Roydell were running with the starters, and that both of them looked much better than any other WRs on the field. It's being said that Roydell is catching the ball great and that Roby is clearly our fastest WR and is running sharp routes.
The question now becomes can they sustain this level of success? I don't know but it will be interesting to see. Everyone seems to be a little down on BJones right now. He apparently has been very inconsistent through OTAs and camp so far. I think until something changes, or until he steps it back up, you have to put Roby and Roydell as the starters right now.

Griffin practiced for the first time this afternoon.
Moulds apparently made some great plays.
Lowry and Hope still running as 1st team safeties. LaMont and Scott running with the 2nd team. Fuller and Herndon splitting time as NB.
Per a poster at another board that attended practice, Hill was the #1 corner with Harper, Finnegan, and Griffin playing opposite.
Same lineup with the DL: Odom at LDE, Tony Brown, Big Al, and KVB at RDE.

Wrestling program contacts Pacman
Suspended Titans probably won't enter ring, though
By JIM WYATT
Staff Writer
Pacman Jones might be suspended from the NFL, but no one said anything about pro wrestling.
Seriously.
The latest twist in the soap opera involving Jones looks like it will include the controversial Titans cornerback being involved in professional wrestling. Doing flips off the ropes to pin an opponent or even taking part in the action probably won't be a part of his role, however, his attorney said Sunday night.
Worrick Robinson, who represents Jones, said his client has been approached by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling "to participate in their line of entertainment.''
But Robinson said Jones "won't be wrestling'' and he won't be playing the part of a villain as some might expect.
"Pacman is talking with TNA at this time and we expect an announcement to be made in the next several days,'' Robinson said. "It is not anticipated that he'll be wrestling, but discussions are taking place for him to have some role in their profession. But details have not be finalized.''
Jones was suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on April 10 for an accumulation of off-field incidents, and his request to take part in the team's training camp was denied last week.
Robinson said Jones has had a number of discussions with TNA, but described any involvement Jones would have as "a short-term thing.''
Former Titans tight end Frank Wycheck took part in a TNA event in June, when he was joined by Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch.
"Pacman remains dedicated to returning to the Titans and any other interests are just that, interests,'' Robinson said.

From what I've read on the accounts of practices, Roydell seems to be getting almost all his reps with the 1s, with Moulds, Roby, and Jones splitting the others. Moulds and Roby apparently getting the majority of them.
Reading the Tennessean reports from Wyatt, it seems like Jones is starting to make more plays, so he could be working himself back up the food chain.

Its crazy to know that Brandon is actually doing worse than Courtney and Roydell. I'm hoping its just a major improvement on the two, and not a decline on the one.
Honestly, I think Moulds will make a good impact for us this year. He had a decent year in Houston, so him being a possession receiver for us isn't asking for the moon.

Have fun, drew.
I literally busted out laughing when Chris Hope slapped the ball out of Roby's hand in that video. Great catch, nonetheless. Kinda like the "Tyrone Prothro Catch."

Well, TC was a bust today. The team went into the bubble after about 45 minutes of special teams today so i really didnt see much. Hopefully I'll be able to go back next week.

Wish I lived closer to Nashville so I could make it out to a few training camps. That won't stop me from making it out to 5 games this year though

Rookie DT Antonio Johnson is out for the year with a torn ACL.
Shouldn't be a huge blow, because we have alot of bodies at DT as long as Rien Long is good to go. We could afford to lose someone at DT as long as it wasn't a first teamer. This may save Mahelona's roster spot unless someone else has already passed him.

Anthony "Booger" McFarland, the Indianapolis Colts' best DT, is out for the season.
At least our DT depth is waaaaay better than the Colts...
