Can Romo be responsible for his own mistakes? Not everything is due to those around him. If we had a perfect team around him, then why would we need to pay him the money that we do? We pay him that much to make up for it. But he has yet to do it...yet to earn his keep. It's just the same ole.... "if he was only surrounded by better talent" hogwash.

Gimme a QB who earn the money he does, and I'll show you a better supporting cast around our QB. It all goes together. I've come to the belief that teams who pay franchise money to QBs who are not HOF quality QBs will NEVER win a SB. There's not enough resources to go around.

Baltimore just fell into that trap.

Easiest way to win is with a cheap QB and a strong supporting cast.

An expensive QB and a weak supporting cast is a recipe for failure.

Terrible logic. Players don't get paid for their surrounding talent. They get paid for what they can do. Peyton Manning doesn't deserve less money b/c they've put a better team around him this year. You don't pay your QB big bucks to make up for anything that's just ridiculous. You pay them for the player they are/what you project them to be.

Exactly. MANY great QBs never won a SB. MANY factors go into why a Marino, Fout's, Moon, ect never won the big one. Even Elway, he didnt win one until they drafted a dominate back. Doesnt make them any less of a great QB.

People rip on Romo b/c it's the popular thing to do. For some reason, people think if you're not Tom Brady then you're JaMarcus Russell. Dude's definitely good enough to win with....just not good enough to work miracles -- which is what it would take to make up for all the terrible **** we do organizationally.

Terrible interpretation. Sorry.

I never said players get paid for their surrounding talent. Although I would say that it's pretty common to see some players get overpaid due to what they did being around good talent and then when they leave elsewhere where the talent isn't as good, then can end up looking like a bust.

That bolded sentence is pretty crazy. Why are you paying your QB big bucks if you don't think he can carry your team beyond what a cheap QB can do?

If you choose to use 20-25% of your cap on one player he better damn well make up for not being able to use that money elsewhere. Calling that ridiculous is ridculous.

Judging by his career, Romo is not good enough to win or you know... he'd have won something by now.

Just done with the excuses for this guy, bottom line is he's too mistake prone to ever go on a run. I said last year it was a huge mistake to sign him to that contract, and by the looks of things we'll be in NFL purgatory for the next 3-4 years because of it.

He was/is an average QB who put up huge numbers playing in a pass friendly system thanks to receivers like TO, Dez, Miles and Witten.

Funny thing is Romo probably has one of if not THE best supporting offensive casts in football. He's not getting this kind of talent to work with anywhere else. You give Geno SMith Dez, Witten, Williams, Murray and our OL from last year and I guarantee he looks pretty good too.

ROmo's D gave up 17 to the Giants in 2007... guess he needs a shutout.

Or how about when our D overcame his 3 INTs in the Washington game and held Washington to 21 forcing a stop at the end to get him the ball back... for him to throw the season away on another interception.

Is this a serious question? You think the Cowboys have it so together top-to-bottom that NO other team could do better than 8-8 by putting Romo in their system? Like....you're implying we're on the cusp of greatness if it weren't for ole Romo...

Really? Why don't you take a look around the league and see how teams compare to our offense? Find me another team with an All-Pro WR, LT; HOF TE : Pro-Bowl RB and a OL unit that graded out in the top 5.

Might take a while because it doesn't exist.

We finished in the top 5 on offense. How'd that D turn out. Dude throws 31 TDs and 10 picks and he sucks. Eli throws 18 TDs and 27 picks and hes a HOF'er. LOL you cant make this stuff up
