I'd give a 2nd and a player or switch 22 and 34 and give a third. Rogers would give us a top 3-4 NT.

Here is link on what CowboysPlus.com thinks are some of our "musts" and wants":

http://www.cowboysplus.com/columnist....1281d3bb.html

Seems pretty accurate to me, except they left out CB although it isn't that important right now, it should be a "want".

That is an accurate depiction, imo. I think NT is first inline. I think you can never have too many pass rushers. In theory, we should be good at outside livebacker (considering our recent drafts), but I would be on cloud nine if we came away from this draft with Branch and Quentin Moses.

That list is terrible. I wholeheartedly disagree with most of the items.

He has TE as a must? Are you f'ing kidding me? How many teams that have a Pro-Bowl TE and a young talented TE think they MUST get another one in the draft?

OLB as a MUST? We have Ware, Ellis, Burnett, Carpenter. We have some questions and it'd be nice to get some more pressure on the QB but to say it's a MUST is rediculous.

He doesn't have DE or CB as either a must or a want. That's terrible. We all know that the secondary was torched last year and that the QB wasn't getting any pressure from the DE's. Yet neither of these positions are on the list, even as a WANT?

That guy is an idiot. He thinks that the NT is a playmaking position... "With Wade Phillips, he might be able to show the ability to get after the passer some more." ID...I...OT!!!

o-line is a need not a want...we have no depth...back up TE? didnt we draft a 2nd round one last year, thats a very late round pick/FA...WR is a need in the sense that TO is gonna be 34 and Glenn is 33...they have about 2/3 years left maybe less at their level.

I agree completely. Although we have good starters now on the o-line, we have absolutely no depth. I am not content with sending in McQuistan, Proctor, or Berger in to start at all. We should definitly take a day 1 o-lineman.

Per Todd Archer of the DMN we're bringing in several prospects this week including among others Aaron Ross, Michael Griffin, Justin Blalock, Ben Grubbs, Reggie Nelson, Darelle Revis, and Brandon Merriweather.

The article's on cowboysplus.com.

Per the DMN the Cowboys have signed wide receiver Patrick Crayton to a one-year, $1.3 million deal. Crayton was a restricted free agent.

Interesting little development...on dallascowboys.com, Joe Jurazcek was quoted on Quincy Butler's workout program. He says that Quincy is very physically gifted and that there is definitely some potential there. Perhaps Quincy could assume a bigger role this year.

Jenkins might be worth consideration, especially for a 4th rounder.

Default 2007 Draft Predication

Plan A

1. Merriweather
2. Blalock
3. Steve Smith

Plan

1. Meachem
2. Ramirez
3. Steve Smith

What do u think.......?

I am thorn between Merriweather and Meachem

Merriweatehr wont' be there in round 2 and I am weary of drafting a WR to sit for a year and do nothing.

Why would a rookie WR just sit? He's definitely going to see some time. There's going to be 3 to 4 reciever sets, they might be brought in for certain situations, so their are not exactly going to be a bench warmer.
