Probably I'm just being optimistic but after seeing our defense bouncing back from that awful game against the Lions I can see our offense do the same.
But this game was horrible, Romo was horrible and I don't know why we decided not to run the ball.
The good side is that this game has shown that the only thing that can stop the Cowboys offense is the Cowboys offense. The Eagles played a good game on defense but still our guys were open, it was Romo that wasn't able to hit them.
Yeah, totally agree. We've proved it a couple times this year that the only way to stop the Cowboys is the Cowboys.

I can't understand why T.O. was upset, though. His QB was just off today.

We gave up on the run too early. Romo struggled today and we needed our running game to bail us out. We need more consistency out of our running game.

He was set for a big game. Now Lito Sheppard will probably get credit for "shutting him down" but TO had a step on him almost everytime, starting with the first long ball thrown to him which would have been a TD if it wasn't for Romo inaccuracy.

This loss in itself isn't that big. It's how we respond that will determine what it means.

Just personally, I wasn't impressed by Philly's D. They didn't really do anything special. We were 1 dimensional, Gurode and Romo were hurt. Just about anybody can play good D under those circumstances.

We have Carolina up next- they beat Seattle this week with former Cowboys QB Matt Moore at the helm. If we play up to our potential, then this one should be easy.

Then Washington without Campbell and possibly playing for nothing if they lose tonight.

What's funny is that you could conceivably blame the game winning catch on Roy. But, the defense wasn't the problem today...

Please let Gurode be ok.

He walked off under his own strength, so that's decent sign. But the way he was writhing on the ground did have me worried.

From Jay Glazer:

Roy could face a 1 game suspension.

Romo will have an MRI on his thumb.

Witten supposedly a had a strained neck... That's strange.

But seriously, the injury that worried me was Canty's. Didn't look good on TV. Watkins looked bad too.

Did anyone else see Flozell get pissed at the rest of the O-Line/Romo after the semi-fumble?

We actually got away with two guys spiking the ball. JJ after a 4 yard loss on a sweep and Flozell. Thought that was funny.

Well great game by the defense. Nice to know what we are capable of when both henry and newman start. We moved Ware around a lot and it worked. Not sure why we haven't been doing more of that of to this point. It was good to see how much pressure we can generate and how many fits we can give the defense when reeves isn't getting beat by quick passes on 3rd down.

But yeah, I dont understand why barber wasn't in the game more. He was doing fine when he was in and then we just became 1 dimensional with an injured Romo.

Lets just hope canty/gurode/watkins are ok...

I hope roy is suspended by the way... it would be interesting to see what happens without him on the field. He was the only weak point on D today giving up multiple first down catches to the TE.

If Watkins is out also, then were stuck with Keith Davis there. And to be honest, that is not exactly an ideal situation.

Also, this had to be one of Spencer's better games. He got some nice pressure with the snaps he got.

No this loss was huge. Not only do we have to win out...but we have to play week 17. We could have had 2 weeks rest and basically gotten our hole team together and healthy.

But no we lost...we lost a lot of key players...and anyone who was injured now has to play as soon as possible. How huge would it be if Romo's thumb is a lingering problem...to give him 2 weeks rest. What about Gurode getting two weeks rest. These are all huge things that is why we needed to win this game.

I'm not over reacting either...I really think our defense bailed us out...saved us...kept us in the game. I also found it funny that the game winning catch went against....you know who.

Watkins injury looked to be the worst of the bunch....doubt he's back this year.

Canty's didn't look good...that look on his face when he went down looked terrible...but good to see him get off the field ok.

I don't know the extent of Gurode's injury, but you never want to lose your center. Most important position of the offensive line imo.

DMN reporting that Canty, Gurode, Watkins, Fasano, and Romo are all good to go for next week just off of preliminary reports. MRI's will come to make sure, but as far as the doctors can tell, everything is good to go for carolina.

I agree that this does put us in a bit of hard spot, but then again, who knows. GB could lose next week and we would still have a 2 weeks off.

2 weeks off has its pluses and negatives though. I'm not just trying to be an optimist and say it was a blessing that we lost and have to play out, but 2 weeks off can do scary things to a team sometimes.

I kinda want Romo to keep playing. He seems to learn and get better after every start. This one was a total fluke. He looked awesome in both the Packers and Lions games passing. Part of me wants him to shed his "gunslinger" label and turn into a Peyton Manning clone.

I don't care what team you are....two weeks off gets you healthy and gets your guys rested up.....you make it sounds like it's negative. If you have a chance to rest your players you do it...especially when you get banged up in a game like this one.

I'm in favor of resting the guys too, but now we can't afford it. Had we won, we could've. We still need to hang on to a first round bye and home field if we can. That bye week would help give the guys rest. Now if we're blowing teams out, then giving the guys some rest in the second half is not out of the question.
