I used to like the Natural Disasters. Earthquake and Typhoon were HUGE

However the best tage team were the Bushwhackers. My brother and I used to do the walk all the time

I remember the Hollywood Blondes. Austin and Pillman were perfect for each other, and in the ring they were both really damn good.

The Godfather was ********. As much as great stuff there was in the "Attitude Era" there was just as much worthless crap.

Seriously....go look at a WWE PPV from like 1999. The mid-card is just a bunch of Droz vs. Blue Meanie "Pile of Puke on a Pole" matches.

Better then it is today. Maybe becuase I grew out of wrestling with that 1999-2001 period, but today is to over the top for me. It's like a bad soap opera in tights. I was a fan of WWF, when it was abit more subtle, not about chick fights and tables, ladders and chairs.

In my opinion the Golden Era of wrestling was in mid-90s in WWF.

Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Diesel (Kevin Nash), Undertaker, Sycho Sid, Razor Ramon (Scott Hall), Yokozuna and Bam Bam Bigelow; all of those guys were at their peak and put on quiet a show everytime.

I watched Smackdown today for the first time in a long time, some thoughts:

-MVP is good, he pulls off the cocky, arrogant athlete well. Haven't seen him in the ring too much though, so no opinion there. Love his entrance...
-The Great Khali is still worthless.
-Batista, love his entrance, he needs to be put with workers who will make him look like gold. That means not Khali.
-Matt Hardy is awesome, I wish they'd reinstitute the MFers someway.
-Masters is untapped potential, although I see a potential stable or feud with MVP. I think those two could work well together.
-The Teddy Long/Krystal thing is weird. She's hot, but that is weird.
-Edge still reeks of awesomeness.
-Kane is good too.

Am I the only one who thinks the Golden Era of wrestling occured not in the WWF but, dare I say, in WCW?! WCW's prime, for me, was the best time to be a wrestling fan, bar none. The cruiserweight division was simply amazing, they had all of the big-name established stars, and the nWo was my favorite thing that's EEEEEEEVER been done.

Yes they did have the best names, but NOT the best product.

There were a lot of politics behind the scenes and as a result a lot of great storylines were either shut down or didn't last long.

Now there were some great stories:

- Early days of NWO.....they rode it as much as they could, but it got old after awhile.
- Silent Sting.....perfect rival for NWO.
- High flying action of the cruiserweight division.....those guys didn't get a push though.

But there were a lot of flaws also.

The main problem I have with this Era is Diesel's horrendous one year reign. It practically killed the WWF at the time.

I just think that the 3 Bret Hart-Shawn Michaels matches (prior to Montreal Screwjob) were 3 of the best matches I have ever seen.

The overall rivalry between those 2 might have been the best in wrestling history.

As big as it was in the ring, it might have been even bigger behind the scenes.
