I watched Duke absolutely destroy Wisconsin earlier in the year 82-58 and it was a lot worse than the score indicated. Thats why I assumed Duke got the 2. That and the media loves them.

Wisconsin was solid and deserved its #3 seeding. I rate them as the #3 or #4 3 seed. It's not really that close.

Tennessee eh? I have them getting upset by Butler in Round 2. Nothing personal. Just a hunch.

i know, i understand it and am not bugged by it or anything, just surprised Wisconsin only got a 3. It has happened before too, i know that. I remember Wisconsin being ranked like #11 in the country like 3-4 years ago and they got a 4 seed. I guess the committee doesnt like Wisconsin. Big thing with Duke might have been too that they absolutely blew out wisconsin at the start of the year. That coulda played into it too.
another seeding question, how is the #11 team in the country a #7 seed. I still cant believe how badly Butler got screwed this year.

Butler really didn't play anyone. It wasn't a great seeding, but I think it was equivalent with their SOS and RPI. The real screw-job was pairing them against another mid-major. The committee definitely moved to make sure that fewer mid-majors would advance.

It all went downhill for Packer after he called Allen Iverson an ape.

I wish that happened in this media environment, so he would have to step down in disgrace.

It is 1 half of bball, and X will get angry. They are easily the better team. I'm not terribly worried.

Yeah the seeding sucks, but it seems like they just gave Butler a big "screw you" and put them up against South Alabama, a solid mid-major, in a first round game in Birmingham. And I'm pretty sure their RPI is in the top 20 so that shouldnt have been a factor.

I thought Xavier was over ranked the whole season. I didn't think Georgia would beat them though. I have them going out round two.

If Georgia could beat Xavier that would be more impressive than anything they did in the SEC tourney. Xavier is far better than Arkansas and Kentucky.

I've seen X play a lot over the last 9 years. This team is legitimately good across the board. Their track record this year is clearly indicative of a #3 or #4 seed. The UGA matchup is interesting, though.

I'm really glad I didn't fill out a bracket. It makes watching the games much more enjoyable and objective.

Christmas is an amazing talent, but Temple doesn't have enough complementary parts to win this. I was raised a Temple fan, but I couldn't make that selection.

Pretty slow first hour here with Kansas killing Portland as expected, Temple unable to make a perimeter shot and thus getting crushed, and Georgia keeping Xavier down. I do expect the latter two games to eventually get closer.

Of course Temple makes 2 consecutive threes and then a jump shot right after I say they can't make a perimeter shot.
Hooray, Drew Neitzel is alive.

Well varying the start times didn't work too well.

Xavier and Georgia didn't have too many FT attempts and timeouts.

2 consecutive commercial breaks, about 3 minutes of Georgia/Xavier, then 2 more commercial breaks until MSU/Temple starts again. God I hate CBS.
