Tyler Zeller is overrated. He's got some nice size and some good skills but UNC fans will learn real quick he wasn't worth all the hype he got.

I think UConn will probably win the Big East, but the teams will probably end up beating each other up.
By freshman of the year, do you mean nationally or in the Big East? Nationally I'd say Al-Farouq Aminu has a great shot at it while in the Big East I'd go with Mike Rosario from Rutgers who will probably have the most opportunity to put up nice stats with a porous Rutgers team.

They are not porous. Hill has done a great job getting talent in there. Rosario, Echecnique, Chandler, is a nice young core to build around.

He still would have been a good backup for Hansbrough.

Just from watching the Kentucky game I liked Davis a lot more than Zeller. With Thompson there also I don't think it's that big a deal that Zeller is gone. Davis is going to do a real good job down in the paint.

Davis is sick. He needs to add bulk, but for a freshman he's excellent.

I like Louisville. Their athleticism causes real problems offensively for other teams and they're well coached. The talent on that team is pretty insane. UConn is very good, don't get me wrong, but from what I saw of them last year they are a very beatable team. Much more susceptible to getting beat by the above average but not elite Big East teams. Analysts are banking on them improving and perhaps that's the case but I just can't see them getting to Louisville's level. Just how I see it.
Frosh of the year I think Monroe may get the touches to pull it off. Rosario's solid as well and playing for Rutgers will help his numbers, and Kemba Walker is excellent but I don't think will have the numbers for it. But I think Monroe's numbers could be more or less comparable to Rosario's and he'll be playing for a better team that gets more attention nationally.

Yeah, I'm going to rethink my answer and go with Louisville. Earl Clark is the truth and is my pick for Big East POY.

MTSU is beating UT 26-25 with just under 5 minutes to go in the first half.

Zeller would have been a decent backup this year but he's still not all he's hyped up to be. Good player, but not near what his ranking was.
Now Deon Thompson on the other hand, that man is a beast.

If I were John Calipari I'd have my team shoot free throws for close to 2 hours every day.

I don't know what it is with this team. Derrick Rose was a great FT shooter in HS and now one in the NBA. But he struggled at Memphis.

For some reason they don't shoot well down the stretch. I blame conditioning.

You blame conditioning even though they run more than pretty much any team in America?

Yes. They are obviously too tired to shoot free throws down the stretch. They are built to blow teams out and if they don't they are screwed

John Caliperri recruits well, but doesn't coach well. Simple as that.
Also, Sean Miller is a top-10 coach in NCAA.
