It was said at the time but after this season it's only reinforced... The 2008 recruiting class was WEAK!

Some very good 2011 and 2012 recruits are interested in us (Mike Gilchrist even though he's a lock to Kentucky, Justin Anderson, Savon Goodman), but they're wings and we probably won't land them anyway.

I have a feeling your recruiting will amp up over the next year or so and you'll start attracting top big guys.

LOL... Calipari just called out Duke and said they wouldn't schedule against us.
Also said "If we get the guys I think we're gonna get, we'll schedule another hard away game". I'm sure hoping he's talking about Wall especially, Henry would be quite nice too (he's supposedly going to make his decision on the 26th, the day after he visits us).
When is Lance Stephenson announcing?

I'd like to see that happen, but at this point it's mostly guards and wings... I'll obviously take what we get though can't complain about getting solid players.
Rumor is that both Scottie Reynolds and Corey Fisher will declare for the draft and test the waters, not hiring agents. Scottie's stock is probably about as good as it's going to get right now, but Fish can really improve his stock with more time in the college game. They'll probably both just get some feedback from evaluators and come back if they do declare, but still interesting. Not sure either would get drafted even in this weak draft.

Yeah um I think GT will do something with Favors, Shumpert and Lawal. And that's funny Calipari is calling out anyone with his impressive amount of national titles.

GT consistently brings in big time talent and underachieves (save the one year). Their arena is awful, I don't even know why anyone would want to play there. They're just in a recruiting hot bed. They did nothing with Young/Crittenton, Lawal, Clinch/Aminu and Shumpert this year. Like FSU, it's where talent goes to never be heard of again. It'll be hard to screw up Favors though.
He's not calling him out, he's just stating fact... Duke doesn't want to do a Home-Away with anyone really, their OOC is always weak.

Since I haven't heard of the other one, I'm guessing Al-Farouq is the better of the two?

Yeah. Alade is a decent 3rd/4th scorer, though.

It would make sense. Once we get the players here to get rolling again our OOC is going to be packed which is spectacular.
He's thinking about adding an ACC or Pac-10 team to this years schedule. Also wants to start something with UCLA and/or Kansas, our entire fanbase wants the Kansas game renewed.

Alex Tyus leaving UF :/
I'd love him at Temple, but since he's from Ohio, I hope he doesnt go to Xavier or Dayton.

Jerry Meyer did say that he may make his decision before the week is over and he thinks all signs are pointing to UK. Woohooo. If we get Wall along with him, this will be one of the best recruiting classes ever.

Im all for a Strong OOC...as long as we have the players to support it. Seems we havnt had the talent to even support crappy OOC schedule in the past few years. We lose to those VMI's and Bethune Cookmans =(
