They could make a lot of noise this year. Both Drexel and VCU could go dancing from the CAA

Drexel made a heck of a comeback playing only 6 guys. Could be interesting to see the two teams both make it.

CAA teams always are a tough out in the NCAA tournament, they won't get in but I think even if a team like George Mason made the tourny they could easily be a surprise sweet 16 team.

I'm loving this man. We should have the two CAA teams, both with a chance to make a deep run. We have Murray State with a good chance. St. Mary's and Gonzaga are always good to make a run. The MWC, which is better than the Pac-12, has 3 teams that can make a run. Thats awesome man.

Amen Joey Brackets! He just said that he believes teams who are under .500 in their conference do not belong in the tourney. AMEN! Lets put that rule. I love the fact Northwestern is close and close to making and all, but I don't think they should be there.

I agree with that. He also made the stipulation that one could make it if they are over .500 once you add in the conference tournament games.

But seriously, congrats. Any rumblings around town about Shaka taking any other jobs after this year?

Lol I lied it was 8 for 8 and Illinois will be super hot on Shaka after this tourney run but again the man loves VCU and so does his wife not to mention having a baby daughter keeps him pretty grounded. I feel like he will be gone in a couple years though. Real talk this may be one of the most exciting tourneys we could see for years. The big 6 aren't looking super unbeatable this year. The mid-majors are playing some insane ball.

Agree the tourney should be awesome.
Still think UK is by far and away the best team in the land.

Pretty much. Based on how they have done the past 2 tourneys I won't be shocked if they win it all. Btw I'm a student at VCU.

15-18 Western Kentucky is going dancing after one of the stranger conference tourneys in the Sun Belt.
SDSU are in OT right now in a horrifically low scoring final. Do it, Wolters.

Western really kept Wolters in check. Too bad they let a 12 point second half lead slip away. Great run through the Summit tourny for the Leathernecks.
Does Oral Roberts even sniff an at large or are doomed for the NIT?

I don't know what Oral Roberts' RPI is (not that I could figure it out anyway), but beating the Musketeers in Xavier was only because of all of those suspensions. They also gave West Virginia and Gonzaga a good run. I don't know what they're made of since there wasn't much of an opportunity to show it.

Didn't Long Island give UNC a heck of a game as a 16 seed last year or am I getting my teams mixed up?

Long Island was a #15 seed in the 2011 tournament. They lost to UNC 102-87.

Hahaha jNW chokes in the biggest game probably of their program's entire history. Shurna absolutely disappeared late, and even **** down his leg in OT a couple times.
I really hope they get left out now, especially since CBS will have cameras in Evanston on Sunday.
