oh my Favre. I'm not even going to respond to this one...

I'm almost hoping that UK loses the first round of the SEC tourny and first round of the NCAA so we can get rid of Tubby and get Billy Donovan or Calipari (sp?... Memphis' coach).

Your a Kentucky fan that wants Tubby gone? Are you off your rocker? Tubby is a top 10 NCAA coach.
Why would billy Donovan leave Florida? He has created a new superpower in college basketball down there.

Donovan isn't going anywhere. Maybe Calipari, but he is doing well in Memphis and might not want to start over.

Tubby is nowhere near top 10. He's terrible at recruiting, we basically have no power forward this year. He's taken one of the premiere teams in college basketball and turned us into an ordinary team. We have a 30 million dollar practice facility, an insane players lodge and one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sports with no results. He consistantly plays one of the worst players to every play significant ******s in a UK uniform (Sheraye Thomas) and is entirely too loyal to poor players.

5 of the last 8 seasons we've lost 10 or more games, if we don't make the final 4 this year (which we won't) then it's the longest drought in UK history. It's the first time in team history we've finished 3rd or worse in the SEC in consecutive seasons. We've lost 4 straight to freaking Vanderbilt and 6 to Florida, Tubby has openly admitted he doesn't like recruiting and it shows.

Billy Donovan said last year he would be interested, our AD has obvious interest in Donovan. Donovan was a bench coach for us for 5 years... Here's an interesting quote from a writer in Denver (the Nuggets have several UK links) from this week:

Quote:
If Smith does bolt, or Barnhart pulls the trigger, what then? Barnhart has long admired Florida coach Billy Donovan, a Kentucky assistant for five years long before turning Florida into last year's national champion. If Barnhart hasn't already talked to Donovan, then he definitely would if Smith left.

And if Donovan hasn't listened yet, he might then. One ex-Kentucky player says Donovan would leave Florida for Kentucky. It makes sense. Whoever heard of winning a national title and still not being the No. 1 coach in your own athletic department?
You all are underrating the job at UK... Remember when Roy Williams went to the championship with Kansas then left for UNC?

Your wrong tubby is a great coach, but I did forget that Donovan was an assistant, good point.

Tubby is a terrible coach man, he won his only championship with Rick Pitinos players and can't even stay ranked. The first few years of success he had was living off the legacy Pitino left.

Our boosters are willing to pony up the cash to buyout his contract, barring a significant run in the tourny Tubby is gone. What's funny is I've long been a Tubby supporter, even when people were calling for him to be gone last year but now I realize the program has to go another route.

Scheyer's a good player, as is Nelson. But Paulus and McRoberts are extremely inconsistent.

Greg is not a good PG at all. He's a turnover machine and he takes terrible shots. McRoberts would have trouble with my grandma down low on the block and he has trouble finishing around the hoop.

I think his assessment is pretty spot on.

Pretty spot on? He said there not even DECENT!! that is an absurrd comment.

As for the Paulus bashing as many know I have been outspoked with my malcontent for paulus, but i am actually starting to come around to the kid. He is starting to get his shot really rolling and a better feel for the game. I still have serious doubts about him, but with time i think he will be a solid player. His only real downfall is his turnovers which can be corrected with expirance. Look out for him to be a real solid player next year. McRoberts not good? Come on man. He's not my fav either, but he's a really solid payer and very talented. What other 6'10 white boy can bring the ball up the court, post, and play perimiter defense? His only problem is that he's not the greatest as creating scoring for himself and relies too much on other to create for him. If he decides to stay he will develope into a special player. His passing skills are amazing ( not in the UNC game however). That comment he made was extreamly misinformed and you can tell it comes from a Maryland fans who has extream hatred for Duke. The one Duke player no one mentioned is Mr. forearm shiver himself, Gerald Henderson Jr. This kid is going to be special. He's a freshman who already knocks down 15-17 foot fade-aways consistantly and plays intense defense. With his slash play, athletism, and that jumper this kid could quickly develope into the best player on the Duke roster. His only downfall is his asthma which limits his play to usual incriments of 3 ******s.

Right cause I'm a Maryland fan I know nothing, wait Maryland beat Duke twice! You are a typical Dukie, have you not read any of my prior posts? You will defend your mediocre players to the end and will not even consider that this is a mediocre team and will have no impact in the Tourney. And as usual you resort to name calling and bashing to get your nonsense points across. You can sing the praises of a Paulus and Roberts all you want, Maryland and North Carolina already showed the country how to exploit them and the rest of Duke.

Oh and by the way, if you are going to be a Duke fan you should consider learning how to spell correctly. After all Duke does also pride itself for its academics.

So new rule, NBA: Unless you have a root canal at halftime, SHUT UP AND PLAY!

I bet you couldn't even break down Illinois on paper TT. And actually, our talent is on par with yours, and I'll say it's better.

Frazier - Paulus: Frazier
McBride - Nelson: Nelson
Randle - Scheyer: Ranldle (when healthy)
Carter - McRoberts: Toss Up
Pruitt - ???: Pruitt (he's one of the best big men in the Big 10).

Our bench > Your bench.

We've never got the chacne to get rolling this season with any momentum, yet we still wind up with 21 wins. And the Big 10 is a very tough conference when the season starts up. Hell, Ohio State almost lost to Penn State in Happy Valley.

I believe I asked you to compare our two teams on about page 17, and you didn't do it. Then I asked you to do it again and you didn't. So are you going to shy away for the 3rd time or are you going to step up to the plate and actually compare our two teams? Balls in your court bud. So either compare, or do not saying anything about Illinois.

Ok, i will. As soon as you learn how to spell Mcroberts correctly. As for the rest of it I will no longer respond to any of you posts because you know absolutly nothing about college basketball.

Tubby is a decent X's and O's guy, but he's not much of a recruiter.
