I wouldn't trade Howard and Terry for Kobe right now if I had control of the Mavs.

I probably would. Where have they gotten with Howard and Terry? A few disappointing, "shoulda-coulda-woulda won a championship" seasons?
PG - Devin Harris
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - Jerry Stackhouse
PF - Dirk Nowitski
C - My grandmother
That's still a definite championship contending lineup, and arguably an upgrade over what they have now.

Here is a good question. If fans opinions didn't have a factor...Would the Cavs and/or Lakers trade LeBron straight up for Kobe?

Nope. You don't trade LeBron... still too good at too young of an age with too much potential.

cavs wouldnt want do that. kobes better than lebron right now but lebrons got 10 years left until the end of his prime kobes got probably 3 left. they say the prime of a players career in the nba is 27-32 kobes 29 lbj is only 22

WIth championships getting the boot, who will end up to better player? Not exactly statistically but you know just...better.

Kobe sounds exactly like Tracy McGrady did in his last days as a Magic.

Pffft. Orlando losing Mac was the doing of the front office and specifically Weisbrod and nothing more. Much like what Kobe is going through.

Right now, the Magic could have Jameer Nelson/T-Mac/Dwight Howard.

So, how could Bulls get Kobe while keeping Heinrich, Deng and Thomas?

<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

Anything involving Chicago would probably have to involve Deng/Gordon in some fashion

Gordon, Deng and no. 9? I'd not want to give that up.

the bulls have a lot of good young talent and a top 10 pick. it will be hard for any team to get kobe i dont think it will be that much harder for the bulls.

the salaries wouldnt add up, unless you add Ben Wallace to a deal and that wouldnt happen.

Trading somebody with that big of a paycheck would probably be a multi-team deal.
IMO, one guy isn't worth your Starting PG,F,C + Ben Gordon (starter quality, but more productive off of the bench)
