Official Bio

Stars
Strengths:
Outstanding size and bulk...Strong and powerful...Very physical and can manhandle opponents...An excellent run blocker...Stout at the point of attack...Uses his hands well...Hard worker...Tough and plays with a nasty demeanor...Offers some positional versatility...Smart with nice awareness...Was extremely durable...Has a lot of experience.

Weaknesses:
Stiff and not a great athlete...Does not move well and range is limited...Not very light on his feet...Below average quickness and agility...Struggles in space...Not a natural knee bender...Will fall off his blocks...Footwork leaves something to be desired...Limited upside.

Notes:
Was a four-year starter in the Big Ten...Attended the same high school as Badger teammate and fellow pro prospect Eric Vanden Heuvel...In 2005 he became the first Wisconsin freshman to start at tackle since former All-American Chris McIntosh did in 1996...Moved inside to guard in 2006...Has helped pave the way for P.J. Hill and a dominant Badger ground game...Best fit at the next level will be inside at guard but could also see action at right tackle in a pinch...Typical Badger offensive lineman in that he's a blue collar mauler who definitely looks the part ... Will likely be coveted by teams that employ a power attack.
