Stars
Strengths:
Good size and bulk...Very accurate on the short and medium range throws...Good touch and timing...Decent mobility and can throw on the run...Tough and will play through pain...Intelligent...Has a strong work ethic... A team leader and captain ...Might still have some upside.

Weaknesses:
Has some major health and durability concerns...Arm strength is pretty average...Has an extended delivery and release...Tries to do too much and makes a lot of poor decisions...Holds onto the ball too long... Struggles with the deep ball ...Does not have a lot of experience.

Notes:
Son of Jeff Harper, a starting offensive lineman on Georgia's 1980 National Championship team...Just a two-year starter but owns 26 school records...Led the ACC in passing as a senior...Missed most of his senior season in high school with a broken collarbone...Saw limited action while serving as a backup to Charlie Whitehurst and Will Proctor early in his college career but took over the starting job in 2007 and had a terrific junior campaign...Had arthroscopic surgery on his throwing shoulder in November of 2007 but was able to return in time for the Tigers bowl game...Also underwent surgery on his non-throwing left shoulder during the 2008 season...Entered his senior year as a highly rated pro prospect but had a nightmare 2008 season and was even benched at one point...Raised serious questions about his football character when after his coach Tommy Bowden was fired he was quoted as saying "It’s what he deserved,"...Would not get drafted based on his senior campaign alone...Could be a steal if he can stay healthy and  somehow revert to the form he  displayed as a junior.
