The Countdown with Michael Deiter

Q&A with Wisconsin OL Michael Deiter at the 2019 Senior Bowl

Michael Deiter | Wisconsin

Interview Question #5

Scott Wright: What are you hearing from teams position-wise?

Michael Deiter:  Guard and center.  Definitely not much left tackle.  Left guard, center, right guard.  Either one of those.  I probably feel the most comfortable at left guard right now just because that’s where I’ve been playing a lot lately.

Interview Question #4

Scott Wright: What concerns have you heard about your game that you’d like to dispel this week?

Michael Deiter:  I would say pass protection and just general technique.  Sometimes getting too high or too narrow with my base.  All that technique I can clean up and then just being a consistent players.  That’s what I’m here to do.

Interview Question #1

Scott Wright: I’ve got to get your thoughts on a couple of Badgers teammates.  Give me the one sentence scouting reports on Beau Benzschawel and David Edwards.

Michael Deiter:  Benzschawel:  Huge dude who is a mauler in the run game and so great in the pass pro but just a massive dude.  Edwards:  Super smart guy, super athletic and super long.  Really smart and plays with good technique and toughness.

Interview Question #2

Scott Wright: Is there a current NFL offensive lineman you admire and aspire to be like?

Michael Deiter:  I try to play like Zack Martin because he’s one of the best.  He’s a really good player and easy guy to try and mimic just because how talented and consistent he is.  A really good guy to try and be like.

Interview Question #1

Scott Wright: I’m going to put you on the spot since you played against both of them:  Nick Bosa or Rashan Gary?  Who’s tougher to block?

Michael Deiter:  I’m just going to say Nick Bosa.
