2023 NFL Mock Draft Consensus – Early April Check-In

consensus

The 2023 NFL Draft is nearly upon us! Here’s another consensus temperature check on what the community sees as the favorite pick for all of our teams. It’s been interesting to see how things have changed since the combine, free agency, and big trades. I will say that looking back I’d think probably 50% or better of these picks will be pretty close to accurate (that’s just a guess at this point though!). As always, I am using the NFL Mock Draft Database to get the information for these mocks.

We’re Not Seeing As Many Changes in The Players

We are seeing them bounce around a bit but I think the top 32 are getting close to being locked in. It will be interesting to see how things play out, for instance, I don’t see Detroit going CB at 6. We haven’t seen them bring in Jalen Carter for a private visit but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him go there. The biggest question with a guy like Jalen is culture and Detroit’s culture is strong now. Seeing him go to Philly would be wild to pair him with Jordan Davis.

With the quarterback-needy teams, it’ll be fun to see how they value these players coming into the draft. Is CJ Stroud the consensus #1 pick? Could Frank Reich want to go with a guy like Bryce Young instead? Either way, he would have had to trade up from 9 (probably) to get either player. I still see Levis/Richardson as the two that are hard to project if the hype from the draft season is pushing them up further or not.

I do like seeing a few new names back on or for the first time because I could see some surprises from pick 14 on really. We know New England sees players much differently, and some of these wideouts may slip to round two just because it’s such a deep, talented class.

Thanks for Stopping By!
