2024 NFL Draft Team Walkout Songs – NFC

Just as I published last week with AFC walkout songs, here I am with my promised second half! If each team walked up to the podium with a song that could accompany their current state, below is my hit list for the NFC!

2024 NFL Draft Team Walkout Songs – NFC

Arizona: “Try Again” by Aaliyah

‘Cause if at first you don’t succeed, you can dust it off and try again

Dust yourself off and try again, try again’

In Jonathan Gannon’s first year as head coach of the Cardinals, it did not go exactly as planned; however, being the owner of two first-round picks allows them to dust their selves off (this includes QB Kyler Murray) and push forward to create relevance in a stout NFC West.

Atlanta: “Pursuit of Happiness” by Kid Cudi

‘I’m on the pursuit of happiness and I know

Everything that shine ain’t always gonna be gold, hey’

Atlanta is ready to pursue big things in the draft as they had a blockbuster offseason so far. Already possessing great talent on this team, they are potentially one Kirk Cousins and one less Arthur Smith away from a playoff run. Will this be the year they do it?

Carolina: “Locked out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars

‘Cause you make me feel like, I’ve been locked outta heaven

For too long, for too long’

They gave up the farm to snag Bryce Young in the 2023 draft. Not only are the Panthers locked out of the 1st round, but also out of any recent success. While it’s been a hellish couple of years from losing records to cycling through coaches, It’s a new year and a clean slate with Dave Canales taking the reins.

Chicago: “#1” by Nelly

‘I am number one-no matter if you like it

Here take it sit down and write it’

We know this one is directed toward Caleb Williams out of USC! I think it would be the shock of the year if Chicago traded back or chose a different quarterback at the number one, especially after trading away Fields to Pittsburgh in March. Let’s see if Williams can play like a number one overall draft pick when he arrives in the Windy City!

Dallas: “Hero” by Chad Kroeger (feat. Josey Scott)

‘And they say that a hero could save us

I’m not gonna stand here and wait’

It seems as though Jerry and the Cowboys faithful are getting a bit impatient with Dak. He does put up some great numbers in the regular season, but they have only won two playoff games during his tenure with stacked rosters. It will be cinema witnessing if Dak can finally be their hero and go on a championship run.

Detroit: “(I’ve Had) The Time of my Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes

‘Now I’ve had the time of my life, no I never felt like this before

Yes I swear, it’s the truth

And I owe it all to you’

Simply put: the Lions won their first playoff game in the 2023 season since 1991! They owe it all to GM Brad Holmes for his brilliant personnel decisions and also to Head Coach Dan Campbell for manufacturing the culture and coaching staff. Whether or not they continue to find success will be told in a matter of months, but things are certainly looking up for Detroit!

Green Bay: “Now That We Found Love” by Heavy D & The Boyz

‘Now that we found love

What are we gonna do with it?’

The Packers found their franchise guy at the most important position yet again! But where will they go in round one of the draft? Will the new DC Jeff Hafley have any influence to go defensively or will Brian Guteskunst build up the line around Jordan Love? I will call my shot here and say Green Bay goes offensive lineman at pick 1.25.

Los Angeles Rams: “Rollin’ “ by Limp Bizkit

‘Breathe in, now breathe out, hands up, now hands down

BAck up, back up, tell me what ya gonna do now

Keep rollin’, rollin’, rollin’, rollin’ ‘

It’s a shame that quarterback Matthew Stafford just can’t seem to stay healthy; it’s sort of been the story of his career despite a fantastic run when he first joined the Rams in 2021. LA has a ton of talent on the roster, a veteran QB, and a great head coach in Sean McVay. They have an opportunity to keep rolling with 11 picks in the upcoming draft.

Minnesota: “The Hardest Thing” by 98 Degrees

‘It’s the hardest thing I’ll ever have to do

To look you in the eye and tell you I don’t love you’

Letting Kirk Cousins walk away could not have been easy. No digs at Sam Darnold, but he can’t be their long-term plan, can he? It reeks of a rebuild in Minnesota and don’t be surprised if they reload at quarterback at the podium.

New Orleans: “No Scrubs” by TLC

‘No I don’t want no scrub

A scrub is a guy that can’t get no love from me’

If NOLA could talk, I think they would yell about how they are done with scrubs. The Saints really dug their grave bringing over Derek Carr from the Raiders last offseason. He has been shaky at best (when healthy) and signed a four-year deal worth $150 million. Carr’s efficiency in the red zone is among the worst in the league and something’s gotta give if this once-powerful NFC South franchise wants to make a resurgence. Dennis Allen hasn’t exactly won over the city of New Orleans yet either; we know that comes with success.

New York Giants: “Opposites Attract” by Paula Abdul

‘I take two steps forward

I take two steps back’

A team one season removed from a playoff ticket looked quite overwhelmed playing mediocre football in 2024. Not that he was looking stellar himself, but the guy who signed a $160 million deal in March 2023 succumbed to an ACL tear mid-season. Right when New York snatches a good player, they seem to release two. This upcoming draft will be a spicy one for the G-men as folks wonder if it will be a pass-catcher or a QB at 1.06 overall.

Philadelphia: “Price Tag” by Jessie J

‘We’re paying with love tonight

It ain’t about the money, money, money

We don’t need your money, money, money’

Do the Eagles play with Monopoly money? Asking for a friend.  It seems as if the last couple of years, Howie Roseman doesn’t mind a price tag. It did pan out for Philly in the 2022-23 season as they made a run all the way to the big game. Last year was a bit wavering and the team looked without an identity at times. The big additions of Saquon Barkley, and Devin White, and another ride with CJGJ should help. Now we wait and see the direction Roseman goes with his eight picks in the draft.

San Francisco: “Don’t Let Me Down” by the Chainsmokers

‘I need you, I need you, I need you right now

Yeah, I need you right now

So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down

I think I’m losing my mind now’

The Niners have made impressive runs during Kyle Shanahan’s tenure, but two Super Bowl losses in four years (both to the Chiefs) sure stings. San Francisco needs to knock this draft out of the park and then rely on the offensive mind of Shanny and new DC Nick Sorenson to steer this ship. I’m not sure fans can handle another championship loss.

Seattle: “Sure Thing” by Miguel

‘Even when the sky comes falling, even when the sun don’t shine

I got faith in you and I’

The Seahawks are sticking by Geno Smith‘s side even after trading for QB Sam Howell from the Commanders. It will be odd seeing a Pete Carroll-less sideline leading his troops, but they’ve got a young, sharp mind in Mike Macdonald. A few key pieces to shore up both lines and Smith and company have a season to which to look forward!

Tampa Bay: “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley

‘And if you ask me how I’m feeling, don’t tell me you’re too blind to see

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down’

I apologize for the rick-rolling, but this one is too perfect: Tampa Bay retained both WR Mike Evans and QB Baker Mayfield. This duo, amongst other pieces, is paramount to a successful runback season. Head Coach Todd Bowles made it to the playoffs last year in a stinky division and will try and use the draft to arm his core even more.

Washington: “Who Can it be Now?” by Men at Work

‘Ohh, who can it be now?

Who can it be now?’

Everyone is just wondering which quarterback Adam Peters will be grabbing at 1.02. It started as Drake Maye and then wavered into a lot of Daniels chatter and then there were talks of moving back for JJ McCarthy. There is only one way to find out! Washington does have the second-most draft capital so it’s their pick of the litter at the second overall spot if they so please.

So, let’s hear a song you love for any of the NFC teams! Be sure to share this from @DraftCountdown and let us know your favorites.
