With the 2026 NFL Draft cycle heating up, it has been announced that Arizona CB Ayden Garnes has accepted his invitation to play in the 2026 American Bowl.
Ayden Garnes began his collegiate career at Duquesne University, where he spent three seasons. He first secured consistent playing time at the end of the 2022 season, becoming a full-time starter in 2023. Before the 2024 season, Garnes entered the transfer portal and found a new home in the Big 12 with the West Virginia Mountaineers. He officially enrolled at West Virginia in January of 2024.
Due to an injury, Ayden Garnes only saw action in six games at West Virginia. Following the 2024 season, he entered the transfer portal once again, ultimately landing with the Arizona Wildcats. He’s made the most of his time at Arizona, finishing the season with 34 total tackles and one interception.
Despite the lack of significant impact throughout his career, Ayden Garnes now has the opportunity to showcase his skills in the 2026 American Bowl.
The American Bowl is the newest college football all-star game, debuting in 2026. Former NFL coaches Brian Billick and Mike Smith will coach their respective teams. The game will be played on January 22, 2026. The game will air on the NFL Network at 8 Eastern Standard Time.
