Talk with NFL scouts and draft analysts at any of these All-Star Game events, and they’ll tell you how important it is to stand out early. Popping on film early can propel that hype throughout the week. For LSU WR Barion Brown, he let his speed do the talking at the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl.
Barion Brown topped the speed charts on the first day of practice, hitting 20.35 MPH on the Zebra Technologies performance tracker. Defensive Backs and Wide Receivers were at the top of the charts as Georgia State WR Ted Hurst finished a close second with 20.33 MPH.

Barion Brown hasn’t been able to put up monster numbers throughout his collegiate career like other prospects in attendance at the 2026 Senior Bowl. Out of high school, Brown began his career at the University of Kentucky. Following his junior season, Barion Brown entered the transfer portal, finding a new home at LSU. Persevering through the Brian Kelly drama and injury to QB Garrett Nussmeier, Brown was still able to make plays on the field. He finished the 2025 season with 53 catches for 532 yards. Additionally, he finished with 1 touchdown and averaged 40.9 receiving yards per game.
Barion Brown will now shift his focus to the NFL as he competes with other standout prospects at the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl. If he can carry his speed numbers throughout the week, that job gets easier for him. However, I’m also looking forward to seeing what he’s able to do in full pads.
You can watch Barion Brown and others at the Senior Bowl on ESPN or the NFL Network daily at 2:30 PM EST. Additionally, you can also watch the Senior Bowl live on NFL Network at 2:30 PM EST on Saturday, January 31st.
