The Texas Longhorns are undefeated through four games this season. Their wins include key victories over top-ranked Ohio State and Tennessee. Head coach Steve Sarkisian has done a masterful job of rebuilding the program. However, Texas wouldn’t be undefeated without QB Arch Manning. Through four games, Manning has seven touchdowns. However, if the Longhorns want to remain in contention, they’ll need more consistency from their quarterback.
Last season, Manning threw 7 interceptions. However, he’s already thrown 3 of them to start his 2026 campaign. Throughout his collegiate career, consistency has been the issue for Texas QB Arch Manning. There have been plenty of highs on tape, but entering his fourth year at Texas, there have been some concerning lows, too.
ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reid put it best below.
This is my third time seeing Arch Manning play live and my thoughts leaving the stadium have been the same after each. Tools are clear, but the consistency is not. His biggest issue continues to be that he locks onto targets and doesn’t always read coverage. He thrives in chaos.

The upcoming schedule doesn’t get any easier for the Texas Longhorns and Arch Manning. Their next matchup is at the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma. They’ll also host Florida and Ole Miss before a tough road game at LSU.
