4. Scouting & Transfer Notes

Background Profile

Greene arrived in Athens with an elite national profile, signing as a consensus four-star recruit and a top-2 West Coast offensive line prospect out of powerhouse St. John Bosco High School. After utilizing a medical redshirt during the 2022 season due to a hamstring ailment, Greene immediately assumed the monumental task of protecting Carson Beck’s blind side. He started all 14 games at left tackle as a redshirt freshman in 2023, earning Freshman All-American honors.

Showing exceptional durability and continuous growth, Greene anchored the perimeter for another 14-game slate in 2024. He put together his finest technical tape during the 2025 campaign, dropping his allowed sacks to zero across more than 800 high-stress SEC snaps. Opting to return to Georgia for his redshirt senior season in 2026, Greene projects as one of the most experienced, technically sound blockers in the entire 2027 draft class.

Key Strengths

  • Championship-Level SEC Pedigree: Enters the professional evaluation process with over 40 career starts against premier SEC edge rush configurations, demonstrating elite operational composure.
  • Pristine Pass-Blocking Efficiency: Displayed masterful refinement during the 2025 season, stringing together a clean-sheet campaign with zero sacks allowed on the blind side.
  • Natural Mirror and Lateral Footwork: Combines light, active feet with exceptional body control, showcasing a smooth vertical kick-slide that eliminates speed rushers from the pocket.
  • Dense, Prototypical Core Frame: Features a rock-solid 320-pound outline with outstanding natural weight distribution, allowing him to anchor instantly against heavy bull rush variations.

Developmental Focus

While Greene has played exclusively at left tackle for the Bulldogs, his 6’4″ frame presents shorter linear levers than the prototypical modern NFL blindside tackle. Because of this, a portion of NFL scouting departments projects his ultimate All-Pro ceiling at guard. Pro evaluators will spend the upcoming season analyzing his functional punch length and hand placement accuracy, ensuring he can consistently sustain his blocks against long-armed edge defenders without giving up holding infractions.
