5 Best Scouting Combine Prop Bets (I Could Find)

prop bets

The 2023 NFL Scouting Combine gets underway in earnest today. Defensive Linemen and Linebackers will get us started. Last year, I wildly succeeded on prop bets during the Scouting Combine. Apparently, everyone else did as well. This year the pickings were slim to find prop bets that I actually wanted to lay down some cash on.

But fear not dear readers of Draft Countdown, as I have a few things I believe are worth your time.

5 Best Scouting Combine Prop Bets (I Could Find)

BOVADA

Fastest 40-Yard Dash Time

Faster than 4.27 seconds (-105)

There are multiple players that are going to fly down the track in Indy. If the turf stays as fast as it did in 2022, I could see 2-3 prospects going sub 4.27 in the forty. Including two we will talk about later.

Fastest 40-yard Dash Time to break Jon Ross Combine Record

Yes, faster than 4.22 seconds (+350)

I am going on record as saying that Texas A&M RB Devon Achane will break the Jon Ross record of 4.22 in the forty. Achane is an absolute blazer with legit Olympic track speed. Per Shane P Hallam’s research, Achane’s 100-meter time equates to a 4.19 run.

PRIZE PICKS

QB Malik Cunningham 40-Yard Dash (O/U 4.5 seconds)

UNDER

All of the talks will be focused on the speed and athletic ability of Florida QB Anthony Richardson. However, I would not be surprised if the fastest QB that runs is Louisville QB, Malik Cunningham. I think he gets in the 4.45 range.

RB Keaton Mitchell 40-Yard Dash (O/U 4.35 seconds)

UNDER

I mentioned earlier that 2-3 prospects could come in under 4.27. I think East Carolina RB Keaton Mitchell blazes a time under that as well. Unlike Achane, I don’t have any 100-meter correlations to make. I am just going off of a hunch based on his game tape.

DS Jordan Battle 40-Yard Dash (O/U 4.47 seconds)

OVER

Alabama safety Jordan Battle opted out of the Senior Bowl when he probably shouldn’t have. His 2022 game tape had already brought him down a peg or two. So, this is another hunch for a prop bet. I think Battle if he runs, is over 4.5 seconds.

Draft Countdown will have a daily recap of each session of the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. We will also be updating each player’s measurements and workout numbers as they become available to us.
