In my fourth Mock Draft of the year, there are several shakeups this go around. After five weeks of the season, we are looking at the 5-0 Arizona Cardinals picking 32nd. No one saw that coming.
Let’s get to mock drafting.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DRAFT ORDER WAS SELECTED PRIOR TO SNF & MNF**
Mock Draft 4.0
Pick | Team | Player | Explanation |
---|---|---|---|
| Jacksonville Jaguars | Evan Neal, OT, Alabama | We don't know if Urban Meyer will be the head coach next year but we do know Trevor lawrence will be the QB. The Jags need to protect him and Evan neal is the best OT in this class. |
| Detroit Lions | Matt Corral, QB, Mississippi | The Lions are 0-5 even though that may not all be the fault of Jared Goff. With that being said, I can see Detroit wanting to go in a different direction and Corral is the hot name right now. |
| Philadelphia Eagles (F. MIA) | Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame | If this were a better QB draft, I could see the Eagles look that way. Instead they just add one of the more talented pieces in this class. |
| NY Jets | Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon | The Jets have the QB in place so they can upgrade other areas. Thibodeaux is an elite pass rusher who they hope that they can pair with a returning Carl Lawson. |
| Houston Texans | Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina | The Texans started Davis Mills (3rd round rookie) this week. They are going to trade Deshaun Watson at some point. Howell has been on a roller coaster ride so far in 2021. Is he still worth a top ten pick? |
| NY Giants | Derek Stingley Jr, CB, LSU | Stingley has probably played his last snap for LSU. He is still the best corner in the draft and is BPA at this point. |
| Philadelphia Eagles (F. IND) | Drake Jackson, EDGE, Southern Cal | Jackson can get after the passer with quickness and power. He can help the Eagles immensely. |
| Atlanta Falcons | Kingsley Enagbare, EDGE, South Carolina | Atlanta is another that could plan on a future QB, but not here. This may be a tad high for Enagbare, but he has had a tremendous senior year for the Gamecocks. |
| New England Patriots | Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas | The Patriots need weapons for Mac Jones. Burks has the ability to take the top off of the defense and give Mac Jones another dimension. |
| Philadelphia Eagles | Demarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M | The Eagles continue rebuilding their defensive with Leal who has tremendous pass rush upside. |
| Miami Dolphins (F. SF) | Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State | The Dolphins have to protect whoever the QB is next season. Cross is one of the best offensive tackles I have seen this year. |
| NY Jets (F. SEA) | Drake London, WR, Southern Cal | Get Zach Wilson a weapon. London has continued to dominate in every game this season. |
| Washington FT | Tyler Linderbaum,C, Iowa | Linderbaum can play guard or center and is an instant plug and play starter for Washington. |
| Pittsburgh Steelers | Adam Anderson, EDGE, Georgia | They need someone else to provide a spark off of the edge to help out TJ Watt. Anderson is very capable of this. |
| Minnesota Vikings | Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan | This will likely be a common position pick for Minnesota going forward. An edge rusher to pair with Danielle Hunter. |
| Kansas City Chiefs | Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State | Do they NEED a wide receiver? Probably not. Wilson is probably a more explosive WR than his teammate Olave which is why I can see KC making that pick here. |
| Cincinnati Bengals | Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M | The Bengals need to continue to upgrade the offensive line. Green is one of the top interior prospects. |
| New Orleans Saints | Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia | The Saints will have to start plugging holes that are left by aging vets. Davis is a freak athlete at 340 pounds. |
| Tennessee Titans | George Karlaftis, DL, Purdue | Titans add a potential game wrecking 5 tech with the Boilermaker star. |
| Denver Broncos | Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia | Broncos get a versatile defensive playmaker and a riser on my board with Nakobe Dean. |
| Carolina Panthers | Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT, Ohio State | Carolina adds an upgrade at the offensive tackle position to help build around Sam Darnold. |
| NY Giants (F. CHI) | Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia | Wyatt doesn't get the attention that his teammate Jordan Davis does but he has elite traits as well. |
| Cleveland Browns | Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State | Are the Browns going to move on from Jarvis Landry and/or OBJ? If so, Olave can con come in and immediate give them a downfield threat. |
| Detroit Lions (F. LAR) | Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati | The Lions drafted a new QB earlier and i would normally advocate drafting him a weapon. I didn't think another WR was worth a first round selection so I opted for another need position. |
| Las Vegas Raiders | Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida | The Raiders desperately need help at corner and Elam has all of the skills necessary to be that guy who can help them. |
| Buffalo Bills | Christian Harris, LB, Alabama | I don't know if a LB deserves to go in round one but I struggled who to place here for the Bills. |
| Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Jalen Wydermyer, TE, Texas A&M | If Brady gives it another go he may need a replacement for his main man Rob Gronkowski. |
| Green Bay Packers | Ed Ingram, G, LSU | The interior depth has been tested for Green Bay this season. Ingram has first round talent. |
| Baltimore Ravens | Jordan Battle, S, Alabama | When all else fails, project the top available Alabama player to the Ravens. |
| Dallas Cowboys | Andrew Booth, Jr., CB, Clemson | The Cowboys missed on the top corners last year and the need is still there. |
| Los Angeles Chargers | Alec Lindstrom, C, Boston College | Lindstrom is a center by trade but would fill a need at right guard for LA. |
| Arizona Cardinals | Isiah Spiller, RB, Texas A&M | The surprise 5-0 Cardinals add another weapon for QB Kyler Murray with the versatile Aggie RB. |
