We are here people, the draft is upon us, and the world’s at a fever pitch waiting to see what happens. It’s my turn to dive for one final 2024 NFL Mock Draft and make the predictions, though this time I’m doing the trades I think could possibly happen Thursday night.
We know some moves will happen, a lot has been made about the Vikings and the Chargers having a gentleman’s agreement in place could be true (or not). I do see Minnesota moving up to a spot where they can land a quarterback, as they seem to believe that’s all they need to push for a playoff spot.

After pick #1, I think all bets are off. You have the top golf drama with Daniels and the Commanders, which almost makes it appear as though Drake Maye would be the pick but I anticipate the Commanders taking either QB, though I still leaned Jayden Daniels as I still think he is a slightly better prospect coming into the league.
I do think more trades happen than what I did during this mock, on average, we definitely see more than 2 trades in any given 1st round (more than 5 in the last few years!). So expect this year to be no different, with the plethora of good talent at QB, EDGE, OT, CB, and WR, there are plenty of teams that will look to move around to target their guys.
Arizona could come away from this draft with 10-15 total picks and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least. They have their QB they think, so why not do what you can to add as much around him as possible? So I went into this draft thinking that maybe they would be smart to move down a little and try to get another first, if they could do that it would be amazing for their rebuild.
