We’re a couple of weeks into the NFL season. While some franchises are meeting their expectations, others have fallen way short. For some, all options are on the table as the front office looks to get better. Meanwhile, other teams are looking to add a piece or two to stay in contention for the NFL Playoffs. I’m Brian Lamb, and this 2027 NFL Mock Draft covers the first round only, using the latest draft order.
1. Houston Texans
Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
The Texans have been bitten by the injury bug at WR this season, exposing their lack of depth. Jeremiah Smith would boost this offense and provide them with much-needed depth.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Colin Simmons, EDGE, Texas
If the Bucs are in a position where they have Jeremiah Smith available on the board, I don’t think they hesitate. Being out of position here forces them to address another area of need.
3. Tennessee Titans
Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
The Titans should have first dibs on an offensive tackle here in this Brian Lamb 2027 NFL Mock Draft. I have Trevor Goosby as the better prospect, but it’s close.
4. Los Angeles Chargers
Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
The Chargers need an upgrade at corner, and Leonard Moore is the best available on the board.
5. Miami Dolphins
Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina
The Dolphins are in the middle of a rebuild and, therefore, have a very young roster. However, they have veteran DL Zach Sieler and LB Jordyn Brooks. They also have prominent guys like Chop Robinson and Jacob Rodriguez to help set the standard in the locker room. This would be a great fit for Dylan Stewart.
6. New York Jets (Via Dallas Cowboys)
Arch Manning, QB, Texas
Consistency has been an issue for Arch Manning, which I wrote about here. However, the talent is there, and the highs have been very high on tape.
7. New York Jets (Via Indianapolis Colts)
David Stone, DL, Oklahoma
David Stone displays plenty of versatility on game film. The Jets would certainly benefit greatly from that on defense.
8. Dallas Cowboys (Via Green Bay Packers)
Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana
George Picks and Ryan Flournoy are both on expiring contracts this season. The Cowboys already have depth issues at WR, so an upgrade could be the move here.
9. New Orleans Saints
Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
This is a day-one upgrade for the Saints at offensive tackle.
10. Washington Commanders
Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
Stefon Diggs and Dyami Brown are in the last year of their contract. While WR may not be the franchise’s first priority, it should be addressed.
11. New York Jets – Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
12. Atlanta Falcons – Darian Mensah, QB, Miami
13. Arizona Cardinals – Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson
14. New England Patriots – Will Echoles, DL, Ole Miss
15. Cleveland Browns (Via LA Rams) – Yhonzae Pierre, EDGE, Alabama
16. Cincinnati Bengals – Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson
17. Philadelphia Eagles – Trevor Lauck, OT, Iowa
18. Cleveland Browns – KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
19. Carolina Panthers – Trey’Dez Green, TE, LSU
20. Jacksonville Jaguars – A’Mauri Washington, DL, Oregon
21. Pittsburgh Steelers – Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
