2024 NFL Draft Consensus | March 2024 Edition!

The first wave of free agency has wrapped up, teams are trading players and picks and now it’s time to take the pulse of the mock draft community! By looking at the 2024 NFL Draft Consensus. We know that the first round has had some big things play out in the last couple of weeks, we are nearly 100% certain Caleb Williams is pick #1, as well as Minnesota making a big trade with Houston to get to pick #23.

With that being said, the fog may or may not be clearing (do we ever really know a lot about what teams plan to do?). We’ll make educated guesses, look to the “experts” and in the end, teams will still throw us some curve balls BUT, it’s fun to dream! With that all being said, here’s the consensus from February and now the updated March 18, 2024 NFL mock draft consensus via NFL Mock Draft Database!

BREAKING IT DOWN

The early portion of free agency has made the consensus jump all over the place this month, especially in the top half of the draft. The thinking is the Chargers look to wideout in the top 10, though this years crop of wide receivers is really strong, so I could see teams let them slide a little if there is a bigger need. We don’t typically see four quarterbacks taken in round one but this year could break that mold, as you keep hearing how much teams like JJ McCarthy.

With all the moves Pittsburghs made, they could easily take a guy like JPJ, even if people feel its a reach because he fits a need, as well as he’s the best center in this draft class by far. When looking at the back half of round 1, lots of trench players potentially, as well as dbs and more wideouts. I’d expect to see plenty of trench players in round 1, as there are quite a few good Edge rushers and offensive lineman in this draft class.
